How was your week so far? What are your plans for the weekend?
I originally signed up to join a financial management talk this coming Saturday, March 15, but I don’t think I made it onto the official list. Well, nothing to worry about! My weekends in the past have been filled with trips to various places, so I think I’ll take a literal rest this Saturday. I was looking forward to doing some ukay-ukay in Toril, then grabbing some balut at night. The thought always excites me! I’d love to spend the time with my sister, my Echibang (my high school bestie), and, of course, my man. I hope you have a great weekend too!
Here are some recommendations I have for you in case you’re near any of these places…
Queen’s Milktealicious
I always love visiting here, usually after a morning walk with my brother in
Babak, Samal. When the temperature gets too high, I enjoy sipping their cold
mango shake. The taste is just right for me and it’s very affordable.
The store is student-friendly—students literally prefer eating here because the food is budget-friendly and the place is a great for relaxing and escaping the heat of Samal. It's a nice spot to spend time with friends and loved ones.
I also keep ordering their spaghetti with fried chicken. It's already delicious and only costs around P120 (if I remember it correctly — they just updated the price during my last visit, so I may have forgotten the exacy amount). The store is located in Sitio Pantalan, Brgy Miranda Babak, Samal.
Sagul Bistro Digos
After our ride to Bansalan and back, we decided to dine in Digos and it turned out to be a great
choice for the whole family. I've always loved affordable yet delicious food, and this place delivered just that.
We ordered a variety of dishes ranging from P200 - P350, each good for 2-3 people. The back ribs barbeque was soft, tender, and flavorful — one of their best sellers, I believe. The kalamari was also well-cooked and tasty.
They served us a cup of rice that was gigantic — big enough to feed up to five people! Their tagline made sense; "Everyday is Cheat Day!" You've got to check out their big serving of salad too, though I wasn't able to savor it since I was already full. We left that place full and satisfied. Plus, the serving time is quick!
The store is located at Roxas Extension corner Estrada 6th St. Zone II, Digos. Their address is searchable on Google maps.
Twin Mountain View Resort Bansalan
I’ve been there twice, and even though I'm already familiar with the place, we were still in awe while on our
way there. The mountains feel like they’re brushing our cheeks, the fogs cover the road (which made us feel nervous and excited), beautiful
flowers, and the cool weather—it all feels like Baguio. Even though I haven’t
been there yet. But hopefully, I’ll get to visit Baguio soon! For an entrance
fee of P120, you get to enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature, an aesthetic
coffee shop, and a glass bridge for an exceptional experience with nature. If you're looking for a bukid feels getaway that is just about less than two hours drive from Davao City, this place is perfect.
The resort is a great spot for photos, for a slow mornings, and reconnecting with nature. The peaceful vibe is definitely worth the trip.
Quick tip: Don’t forget to bring your jacket! 😉
I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead.
