Big Bad Wolf Book Donation to Inspire Young Minds | Davao Blogger Society

Share the joy of reading. 📚📕

DBS, together with many generous sponsors, came together to turn over the Big Bad Wolf’s donated books to SOS Children’s Village Davao, Inc.

What an incredible experience it was to witness the excitement of the children during our visit on March 8, 2025. Arranging those new books for the kids in their library awakened my inner child. I wanted to read those books too! Imagine how the kids must have felt—seeing the new books filled with so many stories, along with the toys!

This Girl Can Do Anything

This book caught my attention when I was busy arranging the books on the shelves. I was curious about its content but didn’t have the chance to read it since we had limited time at the place.

Where does your imagination take you?

·         What if you can fly high to the moon and spot the Great Wall of China from space?

·         Dive into the deepest part of the ocean and see all those undiscovered sea creatures?

·         Take a glimpse of Pi’s experiences in the Life of Pi?

·         Or be surrounded by all your favorite animals—dogs, penguins, capybaras, cats, hamsters, panda, or even a friendly bear?

Isn't it amazing to have the heart and mind of a child, full of wonder, curiosity, and endless hope?

Look at you!

Whether you’re young or already an adult, your imagination still holds boundless possibilities. Despite the challenges of reality, remember; you still can do anything. Never limit yourself in achieving greatness. Be confident in your dreams and do life BIG!

YOU can do ANYTHING!

A heartfelt thank you to Big Bad Wolf Books, foodpanda, Red Ribbon Bakeshop, Boysen Paints Philippines, Hop Inn Hotel Philippines, DM&A Co., Home Credit PH, Bioderm, Casino Ethyl Alcohol, and SM Supermalls for making this initiative possible. I’m beyond grateful to be part of such a meaningful effort.

What a great way to make a difference!

How We Spent the First 15 Days of January 2026 (and the Fitness Items We’re Loving)

The first fifteen days of January 2026 felt slower than most days of 2025. We did so much movement, spent a lot of time with mom, my sis, and my man, and I’m happy with how the year started.  If I had to describe this month in one word, it would be “privileged”. My sister and I are both on a work-from-home setup. That means we don’t necessarily spend hours getting ready, commuting, or sitting in traffic, and that extra time gives us room to do more than just work. Because of that, we have the opportunity to do other things like more movement. So, we spent most of our time working out and running.  I officially started working on January 3. Then, on January 7, I set a small personal goal of a minimum 50 squats daily—whether it was a fitness day, a workday, or a rest day. Looking back, here’s how the first fifteen days of January went: January 1 (Thursday) - New Year Celebration January 2 (Friday) - Bed rot, movies, and a dog bath at the beach.  January 3 (Saturday)...

Thousands of commuters at major transport hubs and shopping centers across the Philippines were met with an unexpected treat as  Jollibee  launched its upgraded iconic Yumburger. The Yumburger now has a bigger beef patty and more dressing, making it more Langhap-Sarap while still priced at ₱45.  From office workers to students, many took the chance to try the improved Yumburger, making their usual trips a little more exciting. Crowds gathered at One Ayala in Makati, The Infinity in Pampanga, Paseo de Santa Rosa in Laguna, Parkmall in Cebu, and Rizal Park in Davao. Jollibee gave away 2,000 free Yumburgers at each location, plus 4,000 vouchers to try an exclusive combo in stores. “Filipino commuters have always loved the Jollibee Yumburger, so we thought this was the perfect way to bring them a little extra joy,” said Dorothy Ching, vice president for marketing of Jollibee Philippines. “Our Yumburger is not just a burger, but a part of Filipino life and cherished memories. ...
